There needs to be much more constructive leadership and stronger relationships with local businesses, potential inward investors and those public sector bodies that can make a positive contribution, including the creation of more jobs.
We need an education system that equips our children to enter industry, commerce and university.
We aim to ensure that Gordon Brown’s NHS cuts are stopped and standards in patient care at Airedale Hospital, one of the jewels in Keighley and Ilkley’s crown, driven up.
The pensions crisis, also created by our new Prime Minister, must be solved and elderly people properly cared for.
The debate over climate change must be placed at the top of everyone’s agenda.
There should be a sensible but firm approach to immigration including a proper limit on numbers and fair border controls.
A new architecture for the financial system so that it serves the ‘real’ economy, this includes breaking up the big banks so they are no longer ‘too big to fail’ and a massive clampdown on tax avoidance to generate £10 billion in revenue.
Energy efficiency measures for UK homes, schools and hospitals to create 80,000 jobs, reduce harmful emissions and cut fuel bills.
Free social care for the elderly to improve quality of life and create 60,000 jobs.
Massive increase in the proportion of electricity that comes from renewable sources – raising wind energy production to the same level as Denmark by 2020 would alone create 200,000 jobs.

The £45 million a day currently paid to the EU would be used to reduce the PSBR and revitalise our economy.
We would also close our borders to reduce unemployment by prohibiting migrant workers entering from the EU.
Other policies include abolishing income tax and national insurance contributions for people at the minimum wage level earning £11,500 pa. or part timers on less.
We shall also increase defence spending by 45% and increase our armed forces by 25,000.
A flat rate, non-taxable, Citizens pension of £130 a week for men and women alike.
Our aim is to de-centralize government and encourage decision-making at a local level by means of referenda. We wish to return to British values determined by the people and not by the politicians.
